Sharing Experience Europe - Policy Innovation Design
SEE Final Conference
The Policy, Innovation & Design Conference, held on 29 March 2011 in the Flemish Parliament was the SEE project’s final event. The conference was attended by over 200 delegates, representing 25 countries and provided delegates with an overview of design’s role in innovation, recent design policy developments in Europe and examples of successful design policies and promotion programmes from around the world. Peter Dröll, Head of Unit at the European Commission Directorate General for Enterprise and Industry, presented news about the new 2011 European Design Innovation Initiative. Gavin Cawood, Operations Director of Design Wales, also presented an overview of the SEE project’s achievements over the last three years. Between talks we screened the Policy Films from each of the 11 SEE partner countries. Design Flanders and Design Wales prepared a diverse programme with speakers from the SEE partner regions as well as further a field. The presentations and audio recordings are available below:
