Design Policy and Promotion Map

To get a global perspective on the growing number and increasing maturity of design policies and promotion programmes, this map presents statements from design practitioners and policy-makers from around the world. Each statement provides an overview of current developments in that country and outlines how design fits into government strategies for fostering innovation.

This is the list of countries, currently featuring in our map (click on the name of the country or on the map to access the interview):

We hope that the insights provided here prove a useful source of information for stakeholders interested in improving design promotion practice around the world. Please note that the statements above may not cover every aspect of a country’s design policies, but are intended to provide an insight into current developments.

We are constantly looking to expanding this map. Please contact us (info@seeproject.org) if you would like to contribute or recommend a design practitioner or policy-maker who could provide us with a country statement.
